2021 Boushey Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes
Dick and Luanne Boushey planted their first blocks of grapes in 1980 just off of County Line Road, about five miles north of Grandview, Washington, in the Yakima Valley AVA. A southern facing slope that sits higher in elevation versus Red Mountain. It is a cooler site, allowing nice long hang time for perfect ripening. The soil is deep sand, with very little rock or gravel. Anelare has one of the origninal blocks planted of Cabernet Sauvignon.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon // aged for 24 months in 50% new French oak.
ABV: 14.6% // 98 cases produced
Deep, rich, yet bright red fruit. Notes of leather, mint, dusty cinnamon with a hint of vanilla. Broad mouthfeel with nice tannins and a long lasting, silky finish. Full and balanced, classic Boushey fruit.
