2023 Boushey Grenache Blanc
Tasting Notes
Dick and Luanne Boushey planted their first blocks of grapes in 1980 just off of County Line Road, about five miles north of Grandview, Washington, in the Yakima Valley AVA. A southern facing slope that sits higher in elevation versus Red Mountain. It is a cooler site, allowing nice long hang time for perfect ripening. Dick thought this Grenache Blanc would stand up and contrast nicely to our Cuvée, and we could not agree more.
100% Grenache Blanc // Aged for 6 months in 100% neutral oak
ABV: 12.4% // 96 cases produced
Grenache Blanc origninated in Spain, grows well in the Rhône region of France, and Washington State does a stellar job. Full body and nice acidity. Straw color in your glass. You'll get flavors of stone fruit, pear, guava, a little citrus. With a bit of Sourdough or brioche, followed by a hint of salt, creaminess and vanilla. This one is becoming quite popular in the tasting room, another versatile white wine for your cellar.
